intrauterine fetal death
Clinical manifestations:
1) disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC)
- often not clinically apparent for 3-4 weeks after fetal death & > 5 weeks in 35% of patients
2) spontaneous labor generally occurs with 2 weeks
Management: induction of labor & delivery
