Laboratory:
- influenza virus A serology
- influenza virus A H1 Ab in serum
- influenza virus A N1 Ab in serum
- influenza virus A H1 antigen
- influenza virus A H1 RNA
- influenza virus A neuraminidase RNA
- influenza virus identified by culture
Complications:
- pregnant women are at increased risk for influenza- associated complications [5]
Management:
- neuraminidase inhibitor use among patients hospitalized with 2009 pandemic H1N1 associated with 19% lower mortality [5]
