indirect fluorescent antibody test

An indirect antibody test uses an unlabeled antibody specific for the antigen of interest and a fluorescent labeled second antibody specific for the Fc region of the first antibody. By this method (or some variation of) antigen(s) in tissue may be labeled & identified by microscopy.
