Search
idiopathic brachial plexitis;
Etiology:
- generally a triggering event such as infection or surgery [1]
Clinical manifestations:
- subacute severe shoulder pain
- muscle weakness, muscle atrophy with resolution of shoulder pain
- winged scapula [1]
- symptoms peak in 2 weeks [1]
Management:
- presumably supportive
- spontaneous recovery may take up to 2 years [1]
