Indications:
- temporary relief of burning & itching due to xerophthalmia (dry eyes)
Contraindications:
pregnancy-category A
safety in lactation +
Dosage:
1) solution: 1-2 drops PRN
2) ointment: apply a small amount to the inside of the eyelid
Adverse effects:
1) mild stinging
2) temporary blurred vision
Mechanism of action: ophthalmic lubricant
