Etiology: - Paget's disease of the bone - acromegaly - trauma - idiopathic Pathology: - excessive buildup of normal cementum on the roots of one or more teeth Clinical manifestations: - a thicker layer of cementum can give the tooth an enlarged appearance, mainly at the apex of the tooth - toothache
