Active oxygen metabolite produced in redox reactions.
Pharmacology: Topical agent.
Indications:
1) wound cleaning
2) treatment of local superficial infection
3) raised seborrheic keratosis
Dosage:
1) mouthwash: dilute with equal volume of water
2) used with bandage changes
Eskata: 40% (applied with penlike applicator by healthcare provider) [2]
Adverse effects:
- skin or mucous membrane irritation
Mechanism of action:
1) antibacterial action
2) cleanses wound
3) deodorant
