homeopathy

A system of therapy based upon the hypothesis that treatment of disorders resulting from pathology induced by a toxic, infectious or inflammatory substance can be treated by giving very small amounts of the same substance. An example would seem to be induction of tolerance to an allergen. Adverse effects: - homeopathic teething tablets & gels may pose a risk to cause seizures in infants & children [3] Notes: - over-the-counter homeopathic asthma products sold in stores or online have not been tested by the FDA for either safety or efficacy [2]
