Complications: - cardiovascular risk factors for maternal morbidity & mortality - pulmonary hypertension - previous peripartum cardiomyopathy with residual LV sysyolic dysfunction (LVEF < 30% or NYHA class III or IV symptoms) - severe mitral stenosis - symptomatic severe aortic stenosis - significant dilation of the ascending aorta
