hepatojugular reflux

An elevation of venous pressure visible in the external jugular vein when pressure is applied to the right upper quadrant of the abdomen with the patient supine & the head of the bed elevated 45 degrees. Etiology: 1) congestive heart failure (right heart failure) 2) constrictive pericarditis
