Microscopic pathology: - prominant thin walled branching vascular pattern, often staghorn configuration - tumor cells closely packed, - spindle shaped to round, uniform - small amounts of cytoplasm, indistinct margins - small bland vesicular nuclei - cellular areas resembling solitary fibrous tumor - differs from solitary fibrous tumor in lack of - stromal hyalinization - varying cellularity - high mitotic rate Immunohistochemistry: - CD34 + - CD99 + - actin - - desmin - Clinical manifestations: - slowly growing mass
