Notes: - a system of measurement designed to evaluate quality of care within HMO's - requires Medicare Advantage programs to monitor & report to CMS rates of compliances with selected processes & outcomes of healthcare - HEDIS focuses on preventative measures & patient education. - Examples: - beta-blocker after myocardial infarction - breast cancer screening
