fluothane (2-bromo-2-chloro-1,1,1-trifluoro-ethane) Indications: - induction & maintenance of general anesthesia Dosage: 0.5%-1.5% Liquid: 125 mL. Adverse effects: 1) dose-dependent reduction in arterial blood pressure & cardiac output 2) bradycardia 3) tachycardia 4) respiratory depression 5) dose-dependent reduction in renal blood flow & GFR 6) nausea/vomiting 7) hepatitis 8) shivering 9) bronchospasm Laboratory: - halothane gas delivered.total volume - halothane liquid delivered.total volume Mechanism of action: volatile liquid inhalation anesthetic
