UDP-glucuronosyltransferase (UDPGT)

Function: - phase 2 enzyme catalyzing biotransformation reactions in which lipophilic substrates are conjugated with glucuronate to increase water solubility & enhance excretion - role in conjugation & subsequent elimination of endogenous compounds & potentially toxic xenobiotics (including pharmaceuticals)

Specific

beta-1,3-glucuronyltransferase 1 (glucuronosyltransferase-I, galactosylgalactosylxylosylprotein 3-beta-glucuronosyltransferase 1, GlcAT-I, UDP-GlcUA:glycoprotein beta-1,3-glucuronyltransferase, GlcUAT-P, B3GAT1) beta-1,3-glucuronyltransferase 2 (glucuronosyltransferase-S, galactosylgalactosylxylosylprotein 3-beta-glucuronosyltransferase 2, GlcAT-S, GlcUAT-D, B3GAT2) beta-1,3-glucuronyltransferase 3 (glucuronosyltransferase-1, galactosylgalactosylxylosylprotein 3-beta-glucuronosyltransferase 3, GlcAT-1, UDP-GlcUA:Gal beta-1,3-Gal-R glucuronyltransferase, GlcUAT-I, B3GAT3) chondroitin sulfate glucuronyltransferase; N-acetylgalactosaminyl-proteoglycan 3-beta-glucuronosyltransferase; chondroitin glucuronyltransferase 2; CSGlcA-T (CSGLCAT, CHPF2, KIAA1402, UNQ299/PRO339) UDP-glucuronosyltransferase 3A1 (UGT3A1) UDP-glucuronosyltransferase 3A2 (UGT3A2) UDP-glucuronosyltransferase-1 (UDPGT-1) UDP-glucuronosyltransferase-2 (UDPGT-2)
