giant cell glioblastoma

uncommon variant of glioblastoma characterized by large numbers of multinucleated giant cells; sometimes thought to have more favorable prognosis than other GBMs; associated with high incidence of p53 mutations and relative absence of EGFR and CDKN2A gene amplification.
