Etiology:
- meningitis due to fungal infection
Complications:
- relapse after > 4 months of therapy [2]
Management:
1) coccidioidal meningitis: fluconazole
2) candida:
a) amphotericin B & flucytosine
b) fluconazole
3) cryptococcus:
a) amphotericin B & flucytosine for 2 weeks, then
b) chronic suppression with fluconazole
