2) 1/2 life is 3 hours
* major factor influencing FSH secretion
Pathology:
- gene mutations in beta subunit (FSH-beta):
a) female patients present with amenorrhea
b) insufficient aromatization of androgen precursors
Pharmacology:
- available as follitropin alfa & urofollitropin
