The volume of water per minute that would need to be excreted to make the urine isotonic (with plasma). C(H20) = (V - (Uosm x V/Posm))/ (24 hours x 60 minutes/hour) where: - C(H20) = free water clearance - V = 24 hour urine volume - Uosm = urine osmolality - Posm = plasma osmolality
