Monitor:
- lipid panel prior to initiating fosamprenavir & periodically thereafter [4]
Adverse effects:
- nausea, diarrhea, rash [5]
- increases in serum cholesterol have occurred with treatment
- possible increased risk of myocardial infarction [2]
Mechanism of action:
-> prodrug of amprenavir
