Fluocinonide Topical (Lidex)

Indications: - relief of inflammatory dermatoses (dermatitis) - allergic dermatitis - atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis [4] - seborrheic dermatitis - dandruff - discoid lupus - granuloma annulare - psoriasis - pruritus, anal pruritus - lichen simplex chronicus - alleriges - cutaneous T-cell lymphoma [4] Dosage: Topical: - apply BID/QID cream/ointment/solution/gel 0.05%. cream/ointment/gel(15 g, 30 g, 60 g) solution (20 mL, 60 mL) High potency (0.05%). Adverse effects: - uncommon (< 1%) - burning, itching, skin irritation, dryness, folliculitis, hypertrichosis, acne, hypopigmentation, perioral dermatitis, allergic contact dermatitis, skin maceration, secondary infection, skin atrophy, striae, miliaria, intracranial hypertension, hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis suppression, Cushing's syndrome, growth retardation Mechanism of action: - anti-inflammatory high-potency topical glucocorticoid (class 2) [4]
