Origin: 1) humeroulnar head: a) medial epicondyle of humerus b) medial border of the coronoid process c) tendinous arch between them 2) radial head: a) oblique line b) middle 1/3 of lateral border of radius Insertion: -> by 4 split tendons, passing to either side of the flexor digitorum profundus tendons, into the middle phalanx of each finger Action: flexes proximal interphalangeal joint of fingers Innervation: median nerve
