coagulation factor XIIIa; transglutaminase

Function: - fibrin stabilizing factor - catalyzes condensation of epsilon amino group of lysine with gamma-carboxyl group of glutamate residues - glutamine may be used instead of lysine - cross-links fibrin & other proteins - formed via cleavage by thrombin from factor XIII (Ca+2-dependent)
