Etiology: - surreptitious ingestion of thyroid hormone Laboratory: 1) increased levels of serum T4 & free T4 2) diminished levels of serum TSH 3) diminished levels of serum thyroglobulin 4) diminished radioactive iodine uptake (iodine-123 uptake) Management: 1) patient education 2) psychiatric counseling as indicated
