Movements of the eye are controlled by the extraocular muscles. The extraocular muscles are controlled by 3 cranial nerves:
1) oculomotor nerve (CN III)
a) superior rectus
b) inferior rectus
c) medial rectus
2) trochlear nerve (CN IV)
3) abducens nerve (CN VI)
