Enlargement of a limb (elephant leg):
Etiology:
1) filariasis (most common)
2) lymphogranuloma venereum
3) pretibial myxedema [2]
Pathology:
1) obstruction of the lymphatics
2) hypertrophy, fibrosis & edema of the skin & subcutaneous tissue
3) hydrocele
4) affects extremities &/or genitalia
