Echinococcus multilocularis

Epidemiology: 1) found in subarctic & arctic regions including Canada, USA, northern Europe & Asia 2) definitive hosts are dogs that pass eggs in their feces 3) intermediate hosts are mice & other rodents Pathology: -> produces multilocular, alveolar lesions, which are locally invasive Laboratory: - see Echinococcus
