Etiology: - depression - malignancy - myelofibrosis - functional dyspepsia* - gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) - gastroparesis (may be same aa functional dyspepsia) [3] - gastric outlet obstruction - intestinal obstruction - blind loop syndrome - massive splenomegaly - hypervolemia - ascites - advanced age * early satiety is a feature of functional dyspepsia Pathology: - weight loss - malnutrition - anemia Special laboratory: - upper GI endoscopy (1st procedure of choice) [1] Radiology: - CT of chest, abdomen & pelvis may identify malignancy Management: - see functional dyspepsia
