dysarthria clumsy hand syndrome
Etiology: lacunar infarct
Epidemiology:
1) least common of lacunar syndromes
2) 2-6% of all lacunar infarct
Pathology:
- results from infarction of the anterior limb of the internal capsule [2]
- lenticulostriate artery from the middle cerebral artery involved [2]
Clinical manifestations:
1) facial weakness
2) dysarthria
3) slight weakness & clumsiness of one hand
4) no sensory deficits
5) no cortical signs
