- spider bite
- toxic epidermal necrolysis
- necrolytic acral erythema
- pyoderma gangrenosum
- pharmacologic causes:
- warfarin
- heparin (heparin necrosis)
Special laboratory:
- tissue biopsy for histopathology & tissue culture
Differential diagnosis:
- vasculitis
- non tuberculous mycobacterial infection
- fungal infection
- necrotizing fasciitis
- Vibrio vulnificus
- malingancy
