Episodes of recurrent minor depression.
Clinical manifestations:
1) recurrent episodes of depression, generally 6-10 times/year
2) symptoms are too mild to meet criteria for major depression
3) symptoms too transient to meet criteria for dysthymia
- generally of 3-7 days duration
4) may include mixed anxiety & depression
