Notes:
- Medicaid recipients provided oral health services including screening, risk assessment, fluoride application, & parental oral health education in primary care starting before age 3 results in fewer cavities in kindergarten [5]
- Medicaid recipients receiving preventive dental care from a dentist in their 1st 2 years of life are more likely to receive caries treatment (21% vs 11%) in their 3rd year of life than those who received preventive care from a primary care physician [9]
