CDK2/cyclin A complex

Function: - the CDK2/cyclin A complex affects regulation through S-phase - CDK2 is expressed constitutively throughout the cell cycle - association of CDK2 with cyclin A or cyclin E with subsequent dephosphorylation of Tyr15 & Thr14 on CDK2 by cdc25 phosphatase & an independently regulated phosphorylation of Thr160 activates CDK2

General

CDK/cyclin complex serine/threonine kinase
