Function:
- binds to single-stranded & primed DNAs
- weak ATPase activity stimulated by PCNA
- catalyzes the ATP-dependent loading of PCNA onto primed & gapped DNA
- interacts with & stimulates DNA polymerase POLH
- interacts with & stimulates POLN, which is suggestive of a protein network that coordinates DNA repair, recombination & chromosome cohesion reactions with replication fork progression
- does not interact with the Rad9/Rad1/Hus1 complex
