Function: - negative regulator of PAK1 - interacts with PAK1 Compartment: - cytoplasm, membrane, nucleus - translocated to the nuclear compartment upon hormonal treatment by estrogen Expression: - widely expressed - highest espression observed in trachea, prostate & adrenal glands - up-regulated by estrogen Pathology: - expressed in many cancer cell lines including breast cancer cells - loss of CRIPAK in breast tumors might contribute to hormonal independence
