Etiology: - Alzheimer's disease - corticobasal degeneration - progressive supranuclear palsy - frontotemporal dementia - Lewy body dementia - Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease Clinical manifestations: - dementia - asymmetric parkinsonism - dystonia - apraxia Radiology: - positron emission tomography (PET) scan using 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) - bilateral frontal and parietal hypometabolism - normal glucose metabolism in the basal ganglia [1]
