Indications:
- assessment of attention
- evaluation of delirium
Procedure:
- ask the subject to identify a specific letter or a number in a sequence of letters or numbers read aloud (the letter A is frequently used, thus the 'A' test)
This may be done by raising a finger when the letter or number is said, but not when any other letter or number is said.
