external condom catheter

Device for externally draining the bladder made from latex rubber, polyvinyl, or silicone that are secured on the shaft of the penis by some form of adhesive & are connected to urine collecting bags by a tube. Indications: - men with functional incontinence & without obstructive uropathy Contraindications: obstructive uropathy Complications: 1) catheter-related infection is less than than with indwelling urinary catheters only when there is no unnecessary manipulation [3,4] 2) irritation or ulceration
