chlorpheniramine/phenylephrine/pyrilamine (Triotann)

Indications: - symptomatic relief of sinusitis, nasal congestion & rhinorrhea associatedwith upper respiratory tract infections - symptomatic relief from influenza - symptomatic relief from symptoms of allergies - allergic conjunctivitis, allergic rhinitis, sneezing, atopy Contraindications: 1) newborns 2) nursing mothers Dosage: 1) children > 6 years: 5-10 mL every 12 hours 2) children 2-6 years: 2.5-5 mL every 12 hours Liquid: - chlorpheniramine tartrate 2 mg, pyrilamine tannate 12.5 mg - phenylephrine tannate 5 mL/5 mL Adverse effects: - not common (1-10%) - drowsiness, dizziness, insomnia, hyperexcitability, dryness of mucous membranes
