Structure:
- posterior formation of the brain, dorsal to the pons & medulla oblongata & ventral to the tentorium cerebelli & posterior part of the cerebrum
- it consists of 2 lateral hemispheres united by a narrow middle portion the cerebellar vermis

Afferents:
- cerebellar neurons receive input via the paired inferior cerebellar peduncles & middle cerebellar peduncles
Efferents:
- cerebellar neurons send output via the paired superior cerebellar peduncles
