Function: - Lewis X, component of ligand for CD62P/P-selectin Gal-B(1,4)-GlcNAc-B(1,3)-Gal | | a(1,3)-Fuc B(1,4)-GlcNAc (------ Lewis X ------) Laboratory: detected by Leu-M1 antibody. Expression: - myeloid cells ~90% - activated B and T cells - eosinophils - erythroid cells & platelets stain negatively with antibody Pathology: - expressed in: a) Reed-Sternberg cells b) 20% of T cell lymphomas c) 5% of B cell lymphomas d) 50% carcinomas
