Indications:
- dilated cardiomyopathy
- congestive heart failure
Contraindications:
- ineffective in patients with NYHA class IV symptoms
Procedure:
- mobilization of latissimus dorsi to form a skeletal muscle wraparound the cardiac ventricles
Complications:
- perioperative mortality is 20%.
