Indications: - progenitor_cell_assay for BFU-E useful for predicting: a) engraftment time after stem-cell transplantation b) response of pure red cell aplasia to therapy Clinical significance: - earliest precursor committed to erythroid lineage - gives rise to colony-forming units erythroid
