bitemporal hemianopia
Loss of the temporal or lateral field of vision in both eyes.
Etiology:
- suggest lesion involving the optic chiasm
- pituitary apoplexy [2]
- abrupt onset
- suprasellar extension* of a pituitary tumor in the sella turcica [3]
- gradual onset
* suprasellar mass lesion [4]
Radiology:
- MRI neuroimaging with gadolinium contrast (renal function CKD3 or better) [4]

heteronymous (crossed) hemianopia
