Clinical manifestations: 1) pain with flexion at the elbow &/or supination of the forearm 2) pain is reproduced by resisted forward flexion of the shoulder & forearm supination 3) pain aggravated by lifting, overhead reaching [3] Management: - identify & eliminate provocative activities - 7 days of rest, no lifting - physical therapy (after week of rest) focusing on stretching the biceps tendon - glucocorticoid injection into biceps tendon sheath
