Superficial muscle of the anterior compartment of the arm.
Origin:
1) long head: supraglenoid tubercle of the scapula
2) short head: coracoid process
Insertion: tuberosity of the radius
Action:
1) flexes elbow
2) supinates forearms (primary supinator of forearm)
Innervation: musculocutaneous nerve (C6)
