Epidemiology:
- rare
- mostly young adults, occasionally children, rarely infants
Pathology:
- cerebral hemispheres most often affected
- may develop in:
a) corpus callosum
b) cerebellum
c) optic nerve
d) brainstem
e) cauda equina
Radiology:
- enhancing, well defined lesions
General
neuroepithelial neoplasm (includes glial, pineal, choroid plexus, ganglion cell neoplasms and others)
