anuria
No urine output. Clinically defined as < 50-75 mL/day in adults; no urine output in children. It is rare it adults & generally indicates post-renal obstruction. (see oliguria)
Differential diagnosis:
1) complete urinary obstruction
2) rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis
3) renal cortical necrosis
4) bilateral renal artery occlusion
5) acute tubular necrosis (ATN) is oliguric rather than anuric
