angiokeratoma of Fordyce
Epidemiology:
1) most common form of angiokeratoma
2) 20% of men > 70 years of age
Clinical manifestations:
1) involves the scrotum & vulva
- also may occur on penis, inguinal region or upper thigh
2) lesions are 1-4 mm papules bright red to purple in color
3) numbers & size increase with age; color darkens with age
4) often asymptomatic
5) lesions may itch or cause pain, or bleed Differentia diagnosis:
- Fabry's disease
Management:
1) symptomatic
2) cryotherapy with liquid nitrogen
3) electrodessication
4) laser ablation
