aneuploidy

Cells having a number of chromosomes different from the haploid, diploid or integer multiple of the diploid chromsome number. In humans, other than 23X, 23Y, 46XX, 46XY, 92XXXX, 92XXYY (etc). Clinical significance: - aneuploidy may be prognostic marker for range of different cancers - tumor aneuploidy correlates with markers of immune evasion & with reduced response to immunotherapy [1]
