anatomic snuff box
The hollow area on the radial side of the wrist, proximal to the dorsum of the thumb, when the thumb is fully extended. It is bounded by the tendon of the extensor pollicis longus towards the center of the hand & the extensor pollicus brevis & abductor pollicus brevis. The radial artery crosses the floor which is formed by the scaphoid & trapezium bones.
